MONTHLY SCHEDULE OF SATURDAY OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is pleased to announce that it will hold overseas voter registration for the 2028 Philippine National Election on the following Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 01:00pm to 3:00pm at the Philippine Consulate General, 999 Canada Place, Suite 660 (6th floor), Vancouver BC:

26 September | 31 October | 28 November | 12 December

Who is qualified to register as OV?

- A citizen of the Philippines, not otherwise disqualified by law
- At least 18 years old on or before 08 May 2028 (Election Day)
- Former Filipino who reacquired Philippine citizenship by virtue of RA 9225 or Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003 (Dual Citizenship Act)
- Filipino permanent residents,
- Filipino who will be residing, working, or studying in Canada by 08 May 2028

Please prepare the following documents prior to registration:

- Valid Philippine Passport;
- In the absence of a valid passport, a Certification of the Consulate.
- Proof of status in Canada (e.g. tourist, student, worker, permanent resident, or immigrant)
- For dual citizens: Original or Certified True Copy of the Order of Approval of Filipino citizenship or Identification Certificate.
- For seafarers: Seafarer’s Identification Record Book (Seafarer’s Book).

Upon your arrival at the main door of the World Trade Center (999 Canada Place), please contact the Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Hotline at +1 604 653 5858. After which, a Consulate staff will allow your entry to the building.

VANCOUVER 04 September 2026 - Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin attended the oath taking ceremony of the officials and members of the newly established Yukon Filipino-Canadian Council (YFCC) on 29 August 2026 in Whitehorse, YT. The Consul General was joined by Senator Patricia Duncan, Yukon’s representative to Canadian Parliament, Premier Currie Dixon, Speaker Yvonne Clarke of Yukon Parliament, and MLA Carmen Gustafson, who represented MLA Kate White, in witnessing the formal establishment of the Yukon Filipino-Canadian Council (YFCC), a community based organization committed to strengthening connection, cultural pride, and service among Filipino Canadians in the territory.

VANCOUVER 03 September 2026 - Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin called on Yukon Premier Currie Dixon on 28 August 2026 at the Office of the Premier in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. The Consul General and the Premier underscored their shared commitment to supporting the Filipino community in Yukon, noting ongoing efforts to protect Filipino workers under the Yukon Nominee Program and to streamline credential recognition. The Premier also welcomed the Consulate’s production of a directory of Filipino organizations in British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories and appreciated the Consulate’s role in providing clear and accurate information to the public.

VANCOUVER 03 September 2026 - Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin called on Speaker Yvonne Clarke on 28 August 2026 at the Yukon Legislative Assembly. The Consul General and the Speaker highlighted their shared interest in strengthening cooperation between the Philippines and Yukon, noting opportunities to enhance mobility, education, and legislative engagement. They discussed advancing a One‑Canada approach to the recognition of foreign credentials through a Memorandum of Understanding, drawing on existing frameworks that support mutual recognition of academic standards in coordination with Philippine regulatory and education agencies.
