🚨 HELP FIND DAVID “DAVE” ALLEN ROWLANDS — NEW WESTMINSTER, BC

The Vanished Project has opened an active outreach file for David Allen Rowlands, 63, who goes by Dave.

Dave was last seen July 2, 2024 in the Queensborough neighbourhood of New Westminster.

DESCRIPTION
• Age: 63
• Height: 5'9"
• Build: Medium
• Hair: Short

Dave was working in the restaurant industry in Langley, BC. He was born in the United Kingdom, grew up in Nova Scotia, and has been known to travel to Mexico and the United Kingdom for extended periods.

New Westminster Police are asking anyone who knew Dave, remembers the last time they spoke with him, or has information about his current location to contact them.

🚨 HELP FIND KIMBERLY DAVID — SMITHERS, BC

Kimberly David, 33, has been reported missing from Smithers, British Columbia.

She was last seen August 29, 2026.

Kimberly is approximately 5'4", 160 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a chin-length pink wig, black sweater, grey leggings and a small cross-body purse.

Kimberly is known to wear wigs and may also wear a blue surgical mask or sparkly face covering.

Her family and police are concerned for her well-being and are asking her to make contact.

💜 INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY | AUGUST 31

Today we remember the people we have lost to overdose — and the families, friends, frontline workers and communities who continue to carry those losses.

But awareness also has to mean action.

Carry naloxone.
Know the signs of overdose.
Check in on people.
Challenge stigma.
Support recovery.
Keep people connected.

For vulnerable people, losing a phone, missing an appointment, leaving hospital or treatment, or falling out of contact can quickly become dangerous.

Communication matters. Continuity matters. Connection can save lives.

The Vanished Project works to strengthen communication, continuity and collaboration around vulnerable people so they can remain connected to the services, supports and relationships that help them achieve stability.

Through Vanished Connect, we are building communication infrastructure designed to help that connection stay — even when the phone doesn’t.

Today we remember those we have lost, support those who are still here, and keep showing up.

🚨 MISSING YOUTH | VICTORIA, B.C.

JOSHUA “JOSH” GATES, 16

Josh has now been missing for more than a month.

He was last seen on July 10, 2026, getting into a blue Honda in the 1100 block of Kings Road in Victoria.

Police information later placed Josh in the Terrace area on July 14, 2026, and he may have been associated with a blue Honda Civic, B.C. licence plate A537SM.

Josh is described as:
• 5'10"
• Slim build
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes

Victoria Police continue to investigate his disappearance.
