Coming to Vancouver-Fairview, the Vancouver Park Board has approved a Zipline over the summer months to celebrate the 75th birthday of the magnificent Queen Elizabeth Park!

We're looking forward to celebrating in our own back yard! Let's have FUN Vancouver!

The zip line will likely operate from May until September and cost between $15 to $20.

Meet our Membership Chair, Doug Eastwood!

Doug had the great pleasure of residing near City Hall in Vancouver-Fairview for over 12 years. During the last election he knocked on many doors throughout the riding with our former MLA the Hon. Margaret McDiarmid. He saw firsthand how deep the support for the BC Liberals is in this riding and is committed to working hard with the new executive to win this riding back to the government fold. Doug is a committed soccer enthusiast and Whitecaps season ticket holder. He was also one of the founders of Out For Kicks a co-ed GLBT-friendly recreational soccer league. Professionally Doug is a lawyer who specializes in seizing assets of unlawful activity. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the JIBC which trains all the province’s public safety and justice officials.

Sebastian is an undergraduate economics student at UBC, where he is President of the BC Young Liberal campus club. His twin passions are urban real estate development and fighting for strong public policy through a free enterprise lens - so he is excited to serve the Fairview Riding Association as Policy Chair.

Meet Ainsley, our Secretary!

A 4th generation British Columbian, Ainsley had a small town upbringing; however, now a true and proud Vancouverite, the solid, practical, enduring small town values are still with her.
As Policy Advisor, Corporate Affairs for a BC based mining company Ainsley comes from a family of miners. She understands the importance of politics not only to the resource industry but in all industries and that jobs and a strong economy are important to all British Columbians.

Meet our President:

Fatima is a scientist turned communications specialist. After living in Louisiana for 12 years, and experiencing the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in her State, Fatima was motivated to get involved in her community and to do her part to try to make a difference. Fatima got her start in the political sphere in 2008 where she volunteered for the Obama Campaign. After moving to Vancouver in 2009 Fatima pursued her MBA and worked in Marketing and Advertising one of Canada’s leading advertising agencies and volunteered her time as a board member for Leave Out Violence (LOVE) BC, an international youth-led non-profit organization. In 2013 she ran as a candidate for Today’s BC Liberals in Vancouver-Hastings. Since then she has worked in Victoria as the EA for Minister Todd Stone and currently works for Caucus in Vancouver.
