There’s a loophole in Canada’s arms export system.

Canada still has blanket exemption of arms exports to the United States. That means Canadian-made weapons and military components can flow through the US to locations where they are used to commit human rights atrocities, including genocide.

Bill C-233, the No More Loopholes Act seeks to close this gap.

BCCIC members CoDevelopment Canada are calling on all members of parliament to vote to pass Bill C-233, which will be up for a vote in the House of Commons sometime before the end of February.

Learn more about Bill C-233 and find the link to sign the petition here: https://www.codev.org/news/no-more-loopholes
