New hours for South Junction and Piney port of entries starting November 1st.

The is adjusting hours at 17 land crossings in Manitoba and Alberta, starting Nov 1, 2026, at 2:00 am (local time).

This change follows Alberta and Manitoba’s move to permanent year-round daylight saving time. Since adjacent U.S. states still change clocks seasonally, to maintain the alignment of service hours with these states, CBSA service hours will shift by one hour.

MUNICIPAL ELECTION CANDIDATE FORUMS

At the Piney Regional Chamber of Commerce, part of our vision is to work in partnership with our civic agencies and we are appreciative of the support of our two member municipalities.

To give residents an opportunity to hear from the candidates, we are hosting a forum in each of our two member municipalities. You're invited to come hear from the candidates and ask questions before voting on October 28. There will also be advanced polls on October 17 in Piney and on October 21 in Stuartburn.

Please note that if you are unable to come in person to vote for the 2026 municipal elections on october 28th, you can vote by sealed envelope. To do so, please fill out Form 26 and email or mail it to the RM office with a copy of a valid Canadian picture ID. The RM will then mail you your ballots once all the proper documents are received.
