If you have been through Exhibition Park in Guelph, you probably have seen the rail-rider play structure being built.

It is not only a new addition to Guelph, but also a memorial for Evan and Amanda Lodge, who were tragically killed in a car crash in 2021 outside Cambridge.

The Lodge family are hopeful that the rail-rider will be enjoyed by children for years to come, while also holding a space for remembrance, not only of Evan and Amanda, but also for others who have suffered a similar loss.

A plaque has been included in the park area with this intention of remembrance, while also providing a place for children to play that is unique to Guelph, being the first rail-rider in the city.

Please stop by, we haven’t found a date for the opening, but it must be close!
