Please be advised that a controlled burn is planned for tonight at 6:30 PM along Highway 870 near the Petro Canada.

This operation is weather dependent and may be postponed if conditions are not suitable.

Please expect the presence of emergency personnel and some visible smoke in the area. This burn is being conducted under controlled conditions to ensure safety.

In January—our first month using HAAS Alert—we responded to three highway incidents, and the Safety Cloud system delivered in‑vehicle alerts to 973 drivers.

Digital alerting through HAAS Alert is an important tool that helps keep our first responders safe while they manage emergency events throughout the County of Minburn.

Drivers will receive these alerts directly on their in‑dash systems if they operate:

2024 or newer Volkswagen vehicles

2018 or newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicles

Alerts are also available through popular navigation apps such as Waze and Apple Maps.
