Big news for Canadian farmers with a drone in the shed (or on the wishlist). Health Canada's PRD just issued CADA a Letter of No Objection — meaning if a pesticide product already has aerial label directions, it can now be applied by drone.

Think about what that means for a wet spring like this one: herbicide windows closing, fields too soft for the sprayer, and no practical ground option. This could be a real lifeline.

But — and this is important — the rules don't disappear. Labels, PPE, buffer zones, and all aerial requirements still apply and your provincial and Transport Canada certifications are still required. This is about doing it safely, not skipping steps.

Weekly W**d Report: Baby’s Breath

Baby’s Breath is a perennial w**d that spreads only by seed. Its deep taproot can reach up to 4 metres, helping it survive drought conditions.
As plants mature, they break off and tumble with the wind, spreading across the landscape. Early detection and removal can help stop this invasive w**d from spreading and protect surrounding pastures, roadsides, and natural areas.
