Lakeland College - Emergency Training Centre Proud to be 🇨🇦’s largest first responder training institution and one of the most comprehensive training schools in the 🌎

Begun as a provincial fire training school in 1959, ETC has been part of Lakeland College since 1998. It is Canada's premiere emergency services training facility. We train on-site at ETC or at a client’s workplace, as well as offering distance learning to individuals. Our two pre-professional programs are emergency services technologist, a unique combination of emergency medical and firefighting, and firefighter training, a 12-week program that exceeds NFPA 1001 requirements.
