I offer my sincere thanks to the people of Vernon-Monashee for the opportunity to serve as your MLA for the past 11 and a half years. It has been my honour and absolute pleasure.

Congratulations to Harwinder Sandhu on being elected to represent this special riding. It is important and rewarding work.

And a special thanks to my campaign team who supported and worked so hard on my behalf. It was a short, intense election run and you gave it your all.

For the memories, experiences and relationships that I will continue to enjoy into the next segment of my life journey, I owe so much to all of you. Thank you once again.

While it's too early to say, with the margins so close, whether I'll be serving this riding once again, I start this new day with gratitude.

Despite the challenges of running a campaign during a global pandemic, I am so impressed and thankful to my campaign team.

To the voters who placed their confidence in me once again to carry their concerns and interests to the legislature, I carry that trust and support with reverence.

To the other candidates in this riding, I appreciate the respectful tone and clean campaigning we adopted together. You were formidable competition during this important democratic process. Thank you for stepping forward.

Today, I took the opportunity to go and vote at one of the advanced polls with my wife Janice, just a reminder advance voting continues up until the 21st 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, make sure to check your voting card for a complete list of advance polling locations!

But remember October 24 is election day from 8 AM to 8 PM check your voter card for your appropriate voting location!

Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure to assist the Vernon BC Rotary, Kal Rotary Vernon, BC and Silver Star Rotary Clubs with their Apple Pie Sale! With all proceeds going towards the development of the Rail Trail.
