I am extremely passionate about the company I founded that is looking to bring back the Lost Art of Conversation and helping others bring it back. With over 40 years of experience in the customer service industry working with mom and pop companies to corporations, I know what it takes to having meaningful and productive conversations.

With all the developments in technology over the last number of years, email, text and social media I have seen the art of conversation get lost in the shuffle and I want to bring that lost art back to life.

I was working with individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations and school districts on the coast but with me being new to the Okanagan area, I want to continue to share my experience and knowledge with all of the above in our region as well as other communities.

I enjoy working with anyone or any group, business or organization and the best part of my programs, workshops or training sessions is I tailor my sessions to my clients needs and expectations.

GVCC new member visit to Gleaners. Furniture store manager Christiane Molendyk proudly placing the GVCC door decal. The North Okanagan Valley Gleaners Society was created in the summer of 2007 by a group of individuals who had become acutely aware of the problem of world hunger and the fact that the Okanagan valley is rich in food supplies. Much of our local food production unfortunately goes to waste. The desire to make use of these gleanings to feed the hungry in other countries convicted them to do something. Distribution is done by reputable and established Christian aid organizations who have partnered with us. At our plant in Lavington we produce 13 million meals per year from donated produce. We also gather and distribute worldwide, surplus medical equipment. Our Gleaners Used Furniture & Appliance Store in Vernon receives donated furniture which is sold to raise funds. The store also targets a donation of 10% of furniture for those in need in Greater Vernon. Did you know that nearly 70 nonprofit organizations are GVCC members!

GVCC outing to visit member Creative Chaos Society! Its on now June 7 10-9, June 8 10-6, June 9 10-4 at the Vernon Recreation Complex. Largest craft sale of its kind in Western Canada in 3 buildings. Approx. 220 crafters and artisans, Performing Arts, live music and yummy Food Faire. There’s something for everyone. Free shuttle bus picking up at Schubert Centre and Kal Tire Place. Admission is FREE but a cash donation for the Food Bank Kettle is appreciated.
