Pacific Animal Therapy Society Pacific Animal Therapy Society (PATS) is a pet therapy organization and a registered charity run almost entirely by volunteers.

We provide pet therapy visits to care homes, health care facilities, schools, and libraries within the CRD (Greater Victoria).

We wouldn’t be able to provide pet therapy to the community without the help of trained professionals like Dave Tomey, Aviva Shtull, and team from Tomey K9 Services & Baby Dog Canada.

Dave (pictured) and the team help us by providing behavioural assessments to every dog that is interested in joining PATS.

As we acknowledge the importance of National Volunteer Week (April 19-25) we are genuinely celebrating each and every PATS volunteer, human and animal alike, and their incredible contributions to their community through pet therapy.

It’s with the love, kindness, care, and support they receive from their owners every day at home that helps them to be such incredible therapy animals in your community. 🩵
