Calling for Focus Group Participants

Do you live in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, or the Okanagan? Our friends at Vancouver & Lower Mainland Multicultural Family Support Services Society (VLMFSS) are looking for immigrant women and youth (19–25) who have experienced violence or abuse during COVID-19 to take part in a focus group.

They're especially hoping to hear from Chinese-speaking, Eastern European, Filipino, Persian/Afghani, South Asian, and Hispanic community members.

Perks include a $100 gift card, plus transportation and childcare support.

This study is led by VLMFSS's Enhancing Wellness M4Y project.

🌿 A day of connection, learning, and belonging.

Our newcomer and refugee families enjoyed a wonderful day outdoors with Power To Be , connecting with nature, learning about Indigenous relationships with the land, and building new friendships along the way.

Experiences like these strengthen understanding, inclusion, and a true sense of belonging within our community. 💛
