Important Update from the Alliance to End Homelessness in the Capital Region

For many years, the Alliance has brought people together — nonprofits, governments, and those with lived and living experience — to work collectively toward solutions to homelessness.

The Alliance has now ceased operations, but the work is far from over. The relationships built, strategies developed, and momentum created will guide the region’s continuing response to housing and homelessness.

We are deeply grateful to every partner and community member who contributed to this shared effort. Together, we have shown what collaboration can achieve.

The vision endures: a community where everyone belongs and has a safe place to call home.

The Alliance stands in full support of the motion Councillor Susan Kim is bringing to Victoria City Council today, calling on the province to enshrine housing as a human right and to forward the motion to the Union of BC Municipalities for broader consideration.
