Chinese Dance Victoria (CDV) is delighted to return to the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival this Saturday as a featured cultural performance group. A longtime participant in the festival, CDV will present a full one-hour program showcasing the beauty, diversity, and artistry of Chinese folk and ethnic dance traditions.

Join us at Victoria’s Inner Harbour to celebrate culture, community, and the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival. The festival will feature dragon boat racing, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities throughout the day. ([victoriadragonboatfestival.com])

January 10 (Lunar Calendar) — Our Chinese New Year celebrations continue, this time at the B.R.O. Retirement Centre. 🧧🎉

Every year around Chinese New Year, our dance troupe visits local senior homes to bring festive joy to the residents and celebrate the season together.

Last week we performed at C.H. Senior Home (see photos from a previous post), and today we’ve had the pleasure of sharing Chinese music, dance, and holiday spirit with the seniors at B.R.O.

It’s always heartwarming to see the smiles and feel the warm welcome from everyone there. Wishing all residents a joyful and healthy New Year of the Horse! With the Chinese Dance Victoria 维多利亚中华舞蹈团

每逢中国年，【维市中舞团】都会走进社区的老人院，为长者们带去多彩的中国舞蹈，让原本安静的老人院多几分节日的热闹。

继一周前在 C.H.老人院演出之后，今天正月初十，我们又受邀来到 B.R.O. 老人院慰问长者，奉上一小时的包场节目，继续我们的马年春节庆祝活动。

这所老人院设有自己的小型剧院，环境优雅而安静。楼上楼下的数码展板上，都张贴着我们今晚演出的告示。

Chinese New Year celebrations continue! Today we performed at a Berwick Retirement Center, sharing ethnic dances with the seniors. It was such a meaningful way to contribute the New Year celebration!

Grateful to be part of such a joyful event and to bring some Lunar New Year spirit to everyone there.
