Hardy fuchsias are back in the Plant Sale area! 🌸

These pollinator magnets bring us vibrant colour from summer, well into fall when many other plants are beginning to slow down.

A favourite of hummingbirds, hardy fuchsias thrive in our mild coastal climate and can often overwinter successfully with minimal protection. Their flowers seem to float like tiny lanterns among the foliage, brightening shady corners of the garden when they're needed most. They thrive when they recieve partial shade or dappled sunlight through the morning/early afternoon!

Available while quantities last.

Lots of new stock has arrived recently in the Gift Shop! We're pleased to see pieces that feature our signature Fawn Lily ~ the flower at the heart of the Gardens at HCP. As a native symbol of Vancouver Island's endangered Garry oak ecosystems, it represents our commitment to conservation, education, and celebrating the amazing plants that call this place home. 🌱

An underrated sunny star of the gardens right now is the Common Woolly Sunflower 'Eriophyllum lanatum'. Spotted just behind the Couvelier Pavilion, this cheerful BC native wildflower isn't actually a true sunflower! Often called "Oregon Sunshine," it puts on a brilliant display of golden blooms all summer long. 🌻

New local treasures in the Gift Shop by Poppy Rocks ✨️

Created by local artist Erin, inspired by her daughter, Poppy! Erin’s work celebrates creativity and connection through a multidisciplinary practice that includes beadwork, dot mandalas, painted stones, polymer clay, crochet, and more.

Today, she focuses on handmade seed bead fringe earrings: each pair a wearable piece of art, thoughtfully designed in nature-inspired colour palettes and rooted in the global beadwork community. (Lots of little mushrooms!)

Erin is also known locally for her dot mandala workshops, having taught nearly 100 classes for artists of all ages.

Creativity is a shared thread in the family as her daughter Poppy (Poppy’s Plushies) also creates handmade crochet plushies.

Come discover these beautiful pieces in person at the Garden Gift Shop 🌿
