๐Ÿšง Traffic Advisory: Admirals Road (Craigflower Bridge) - Overnight Road Closure๐Ÿšง

Overnight bridge maintenance work will require road closures on October 20 and 21, from 7:00pm to 7:00am each night.

โžก๏ธ Admirals Road closed to vehicle traffic in both directions between Island Highway and Gorge Road
โžก๏ธ Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists
โžก๏ธ Emergency vehicle access will be maintained
โžก๏ธ Follow detour signs and use alternate routes

Make your voice heard and cast your ballot in the General Local Election. Polls are open today from 8:00am to 8:00pm at two polling locations:

๐Ÿ“Eagle View Elementary School (97 Talcott Road)

๐Ÿชช Reminder to bring two pieces of ID that confirm your identity and address, including at least one with your signature. Registration takes place when you vote.

While all voting locations were selected with accessibility in mind, each location will offer curbside voting which allows eligible voters to vote at their vehicle without needing to enter the voting place. Upon arrival at your chosen voting place, please look for the marked "Curbside Voting" parking spaces and park there. An Election Official will attend to you.

Construction of new streetlighting and a pedestrian crosswalk at Damon Drive is scheduled to begin October 19 and continue through December 2026. Work will take place daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm

Work is expected to begin next week on the installation of new streetlighting along Six Mile Road and a new pedestrian crosswalk at Damon Drive.

The improvements are part of the recommendations from the Six Mile Corridor Study and will help improve pedestrian safety and visibility, while making it easier to access nearby bus stops and neighbourhood amenities.

Construction is expected to continue through December 2026.
