Looking for a fun, engaging, and licensed childcare program for your little one?

BGC South Vancouver Island currently has spaces available in our Pre-K Club program at our Langford and Esquimalt locations!

✅ Licensed Group Childcare
✅ Ages 30 months to school age
✅ Caring, experienced educators
✅ Play-based learning and social development
✅ 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This week at RISE Sooke Drop-in (6544 Throup Road) we played an escape room where the youth had to tackle logic puzzles and use their detective skills to solve the clues and the BGC mystery!! The youth also made dragons puppets as part of their teambuilding game- and then on Thursday we celebrated BGC Club Day with games, ice cream, trivia and popsicles! 🎨💚 BGC Club Day is bringing our communities together—one brushstroke at a time!

A huge shoutout to our incredible Family Programs team for completing their section of our Opportunity Changes Everything community canvas.

Created by one of the talented fine artists on our BGC South Vancouver Island team, this special artwork is traveling across our Clubs and programs, where children, youth, families, and staff are signing, colouring, and adding their own unique touch. Once complete, all of the pieces will come together to create one beautiful image that represents the collective impact of BGC across our communities.

Today's contribution from our Family Programs team is another reminder that every person, every Club, and every story matters—and together, we create something extraordinary.

We can't wait to see the finished masterpiece!

We are honoured to celebrate BGC Club Day and extend our sincere thanks to the Township of Esquimalt for officially proclaiming June 5, 2026, as BGC Club Day.

This proclamation recognizes the important role that BGC Clubs play in creating safe, supportive spaces where children and youth can build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their full potential.

We are proud to serve the Esquimalt community and grateful for the Township's ongoing support of programs and opportunities that help young people thrive.
