Fire Report 🚨

Wabigoon Fire responded to two wildfire incidents over the last few days. Despite recent rain and spring melt, ground conditions remain dry and fire risk continues to be a concern.

Residents are reminded to follow Ontario MNR outdoor burning regulations. Burning must not take place earlier than 2 hours before sunset and must be extinguished no later than 2 hours after sunrise the next day where permitted. Residents must also ensure fires are attended and fully extinguished.

Residents are also reminded to stay clear of any downed hydro lines and keep at least 10 metres (33 feet) away. Always assume downed wires are live and report them immediately to Hydro One or 911.
