Let's talk Wainwright Stampede...only a month left before the biggest event of the year showcases our Town! Time to start planning how best to show off your amazing business. We're hoping for lots of decorated windows, western displays and promotions to show who you are and what your business is all about! Don't want to have a yard sale but have stuff you don't want? The Battle River Lodge will help you out! Donate your stuff to the lodge until end of day Wednesday May 27th. The annual Lodge Yard Sale at 429 5th Ave will be on Friday May 29th from 1pm to 7pm and Saturday May 30th from 9am to 12 noon. All monies raised goes towards the residents club and supporting the activites program

Join us for tea and coffee and dessert; enter to win one of our door prizes and pick up some homebaked sweets to take home. Pies, cookies, tarts, fudge, peanut brittle, jams and so much more. I would like to start with saying how incredibly blessed we are to live in such a supportive, generous, amazing community.
First: I would like to thank the all the kids from the WES gr 4 class for all the handmade cards! Beautiful!
Second: thank you the the Sea Cadets for the 98 Christmas cards....one for each resident 🩵
Third: All the cards for each resident from Prairie Vision.
Wait..... I'm not done!
Fourth: thank you to FCSS for the generous basket of treats, games , puzzles and more!
Fifth: a big thank you for the stack of four gift boxes full of goodies from Wainwright Family Dental.

This week the fun continued: Monday evening gave our Lodge residents a beautiful gift....the Men's Chorus. Their time and dedication to their art form of music and voice is so appreciated. They touched our hearts with the Christmas spirit
Despite the weather, Wednesday was a wonderful day of fun, laughter and song. We ended the morning with a Staff and Resident Christmas Dinner where the staff served all the residents and then sat down and enjoyed the meal and good conversation with them.
We headed to the activities room to start the door prize draws! There were door prizes for everyone! A special thank you to Christine Hasenhündl for all the little jade plants.....they found good homes😊. Another special thank you to Byron for making it to the Lodge to entertain us with song and lead us in a Christmas sing-a-long. It was a wonderful, wonderful afternoon. Ohhh annnnd.....SANTA stopped in and delivered gifts to everyone in the Lodge. How blessed are we❤️

Merry Christmas everyone! We are basking in the spirit at the Lodge. I'm a little behind in posting pictures so here it goes: had a lot of fun decorating gingerbread houses and trees; the actual construction needed a little help in the form of forks to hold it up. We called it "Forked Up Construction " the company you do not want to hire BUT we are alot of fun!
Having the WHS 12 leadership kids over for mentorship and painting was a great time.
I can not say enough great things about the Wainwright High Schools Seniors Christmas dinner. They do an amazing presentation, and a fantastic dinner. The community really goes all out in support. The tables groan under the door prize gifts . That was last week.....
