The Wakaw , Cudworth fire dept was dispatched for a 2 vehicle collision with injuries , SW of Wakaw on Highway 41 July 25 at 14:49. We responded with E384, E383, E415 and command 411 as well as 9 members Upon arrival we set of traffic control , assisted EMS and RCMP.
We secured both vehicles . Once vehicle s were secure we continued with traffic control until EMS left scene. When scene was safe we returned to our respective halls. We were back in service at 16:33.

Hello friends and family! Lets review Carbon Monoxide. With the warmer temperatures predicted we would like to remind everyone to be dillegent with portable/window air conditioners, clothes dryers as well as bathroom fans. These conditions may create a hazardous situation in your home.
Renovations, new siding, upgraded windows and appliances may create a tightly sealed enviroment. Although this is warmer for you in the winter months, this can cause a negative pressure effect during the warmer months when running the above mentioned appliances. In turn, triggering your C0 detectors to alarm.
What you can do:
-Open a basement window
-Check your C0 detector for back up battey, date of expiration and test that it is in working order.
-Schedule an appointment with our Fire Chief for an inspection.

Hoodoo Fire dept was dispatched for a vehicle fire yesterday at 10:45 10 miles east of Wakaw.
E384 , E383, C411 responded with 9 members.
Vehicle was totally engulfed. We extinguished flames , cools vehicle off. Returned to hall back in service at 12:04.

Hoodoo Fire department has had a busy 2 days.
November 19 at 01:00 we were dispatched for an excavator fire east of Wakaw.
We extinguished the flames and secured the area. We were back in service at 02:30
On November 19 at 11:11 we were dispatched for a water rescue west of Wakaw. Upon arrival two people were stuck in a canoe in water after the ice broke. We used our inflatable ice rescue boat to bring the stranded people back to shore.
We were back in service at 13:31.
On November 20 at 15:53 were dispatched for a 2 vehicle collision at the junction of Highway 41 and Highway 2.
We arrived on scene , assisted EMS , did traffic control.
When tow truck artived we cleared scene and were back in service at 18:32
