The City of Kitchener says three empty tents have been from Roos Island, in Victoria Park. A city representative said two of the three tents were removed by the owners.

This is how sad we've got to in Canada with our homeless crisis, where folks feel there is no way out than medically assisted suicide...if you read this article this young fella of 37 actually has a job, wants a job, but can't find suitable stable housing. With no family or safety nets, he is all alone.

Housing should be a fundamental human right and so recognized by all levels of government, not just left to municipal level.

We hope and pray this article has got enough buz to get this poor fella housed, and he is in a better situation.

There are so many avenues to end Homelessness, yet somehow government (on all levels) continue to ignore them. Why??

Judge dismisses Region’s bid for encampment injunction.

Region of Waterloo lost it's deployable attempt to use to evict the unhoused from Victoria Park and St, and attempt for any other encampments to pop up.
This is a sigh of relief for our Unhoused Friends living in City of Waterloo City of Kitchener City of Cambridge
