Warwick Township The Township of Warwick is a rural community located in the County of Lambton in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

The municipality is home to 3,926 residents and continues to grow. "A Community in Action", we welcome you to keep up to date on our events. The Township of Warwick is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe as well as the many Indigenous nations in Ontario whose footsteps have marked them for centuries. We acknowledge that Warwick is situated on Treaty 29 and Treaty 25 territories signed by Chippewa Chiefs and offer our respect and gratitude for these lands. Warwick Township Council and staff will strive to educate residents about our history through programming and events. We pledge to our First Nations neighbours that we will not tolerate systemic racism and commit to advancing reconciliation by building trusting relationships and fostering ideas for future consultation and partnership opportunities.

Watford Library is officially celebrating a new chapter!

Today, we were delighted to celebrate the grand reopening of Watford Library following renovations that blend modern improvements with the charm and character of this historic Carnegie library.

The celebration featured remarks from Todd Case, Mayor of the Township of Warwick; Kevin Marriott, Warden of the County of Lambton; and Andrew Meyer, General Manager of the Cultural Services Division with the County of Lambton. The event also included an official ribbon cutting and an opportunity for attendees to explore the refreshed space.

A special highlight was reconnecting with one of our former librarians, Jean O’Neil, and celebrating the lasting connections that make our library such an important part of our community.

Thanks to the partnership between the County of Lambton and the Township of Warwick, Watford Library now offers a more accessible, functional and inviting space for learning, discovery and connection for years to come, while preserving the charm and character of this historic building.

As we celebrate Ontario Public Library Week and this year’s theme, I Love My Library, we’re reminded that libraries are so much more than books, they’re places where community happens!

LAWSS – Water Conservation Measures Ended

The Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) is pleased to advise that repairs to the transmission pipeline on London Line have been completed.

Effective immediately, the request for water conservation in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming, Township of Warwick, Municipality of Brooke-Alvinston, and Municipality of Lambton Shores west of Highway 21, including the Town of Forest, has been lifted. Residents and businesses may resume normal water use.

LAWSS thanks residents and businesses for their cooperation and understanding while the repairs were underway.

In 2022, Warwick Township had a voter turnout of 51.77% while 46.78% of electors voted in the 2018 municipal election.

LAWSS Notification for Warwick Township residents

The Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) is requesting that the Town of Plympton-Wyoming, Township of Warwick, Municipality of Brooke-Alvinston, and Municipality of Lambton Shores west of Highway 21, including the Town of Forest, conserve water while repairs are being made to a transmission pipeline on London Line.

The cooperation of residents and businesses in these communities will help reduce demand on the system and ensure adequate water remains while the repair is completed.

There is currently no impact to the safety or quality of the drinking water. The conservation request is a precautionary measure to help maintain adequate water supplies while the repair is completed.
Further updates will be provided if conditions change or if additional action is required.
