🍁FALL OPERATIONS INFORMATION🍁
As the leaves begin to change, so too must our operating hours and procedures. If you're planning on visiting us this fall, please read the following carefully:
OFFICE HOURS & SERVICES:
🍂The Agawa Bay Campground and Rabbit Blanket Lake Campground Gatehouses are now closed for the 2026 season.
🍂Park information, campsite registration/check-in, day-use permits, merchandise, firewood, ice, and rentals are available at both the Visitor Centre (Agawa Bay) and Park Office (Red Rock Lake).
🍂The Visitor Centre will be open from 8:00am until 7:00pm daily until the Agawa Bay Campground closes.
🍂The Park Office will be open from 8:00am until 7:00pm daily until October 26th when the hours will change to 8:00am to 4:00pm daily for the off season.
DAY USE VISITORS:
🌞Vehicle permits are required for parking and can be purchased from any of our offices, or online: https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca up to five days in advance.
🌞While much of the province has gone paperless, LSPP requires a physical permit to be displayed on your vehicle dashboard.
🌞If you are printing your own permit, please be sure that the confirmation number is clearly visible.
🌞Please note that there are no physical self-serve payment stations available for day use permits and cell service is poor in many areas of the park. Be sure to plan accordingly.
CAMPGROUND & BACKCOUNTRY CAMPERS:
⛺Campers can register at either the Park Office or Visitor Centre.
⛺You may pre-register yourself online (party members, licence plate number, and equipment descriptions for backcountry), but please note that you must display a physical permit on your vehicle dashboard at LSPP.
⛺All campground and backcountry campsites are reservable and this fall is expected to be a busy one! Reservations are strongly encouraged, especially for those requiring electrical campsites, and can be made online at https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca or over the phone through the Ontario Parks Reservation Hotline (1-888-668-7275).
GENERAL INFORMATION & REMINDERS:
⚠️The nearest gas and groceries are located in the communities of Wawa (north) and Batchawana Bay (south) so be sure to plan accordingly.
⚠️Please drive cautiously through the park as it is home to large wildlife, such as Moose, who frequently cross roads and can be well camouflaged.
⚠️A friendly reminder that dogs must be kept on a leash (not exceeding 2m) at all times within the park, with the exception of the designated Pet Exercise Areas at Agawa Bay and Old Woman Bay.
⚠️Be sure to check the park website prior to visiting to stay up to date about park alerts such as closures, water advisories, and fire bans: https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/lakesuperior/alerts.
