The library fairies stopped by again today!! some very cool editions - get my pun 🤣 And classics. Thorn Birds - probably shouldn’t have been watching that on tv when I was a kid, but I did haha!
I was chatting with one neighborhood book enthusiast, they mentioned they like cook books.

None in the free library right now, but …. There are over 50 cookbooks at the Wembley Thrift Store. And guess what!! This Saturday is Thrift Store day 10-1! Fill a bag of books and anything else for $5

Opening the little library has been one of the most satisfying things I've done in a long while. The last five years have been crazy. Starting with medically retiring in 2015 (and definitely being to young for that s**t ;)) moving twice, a family death with us winding up
In the era of covid.

Every day I check the library and it exciting to see which books have moved. See If there are new ones. Chatting with strangers stopping to look and getting to know them.

Messages of gratitude and support about the library are always a joyful surprise. Just this evening I was in the my back yard and a white mini van was driving by. They stopped and backed up. I though "oh they probably think the dogs bark too much".
The passenger rolled down her window and yelled out to me " your library is beautiful and we love it!! Your dogs are exceptional too"! My heart ❤️ exploded.

Thank you Wembley for living the little grain elevator on 97 street.

Some days it's hard to get going, but my little library is making just a bit easier.

I need some new library pics - so here is a fire to warm yourself by instead 💕
