Yesterday we got to spend time with some amazing ladies and our community Herbs & Spice 'n' Everything Nice. You can truly see how much thought, care, and love they put into every part of the event — just like they do in growing their beautiful greenhouse.

We’re hoping to see them settle into a new home, and hopefully not too far from us. Thank you for such a fun afternoon and evening. If you weren’t there, you definitely missed out!

Everyone knows Mrs. Underwood! Our favourite librarian with the cutest farm friends and a friendly face at community events. But did you know there’s also a Mr. Underwood behind the scenes generously donating his time to our community?

Over the years, Mr. Underwood has planted, watered, and cared for the Agricultural Society’s community garden, helping create a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. Projects like this take dedication, patience, and a lot of hard work, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does.

Thank you, Mr. Underwood, for taking on such a meaningful community project and helping make our space a little more beautiful year after year. 🌱

Today is the day!!!

Volunteerism is a special gift. It’s trading your time for a feeling — and sometimes that feeling comes with sore muscles, exhausted brains, and long hours of unrecognized hard work.

Our building operates largely because of volunteerism and sponsorships, and we wanted to take some time over the next little while to recognize some of the incredible people who help make everything possible.

We’re starting with Charmaine.

Charmaine really needs no introduction because you see her at nearly every community event involving your children — and somehow, she’s just as excited to be there as the kids are.

Over the past few months, she has had more energy than she knows what to do with. She has washed walls, built storage, organized spaces, and helped update parts of the building we didn’t even realize could be improved.

We are incredibly fortunate to have her, and so is this community.

The next time you pop into the building and notice the freshly washed walls or a little bit of new paint, there’s a good chance those hours came from Charmaine volunteering her time. Not because anyone asked her to, but because she saw something that needed to be done and simply took it on.

Thank you, Charmaine, for everything you do for our community. ❤️
