Monday's Public Bills Committee is your opportunity to have your say on legislation that will unilaterally lift fracking and uranium mining bans with no consultation, undermine the Privacy Commissioner's Office, allow the minister to dictate what can be taught and funded at universities, allow non-unionized public servants to be fired without cause, and more.

On Monday, Mar.17 the Public Bills committee will meet at 9am. Many bills will be reviewed by the committee, and we are especially interested in hearing public feedback on bills 1, 6, and 12. Bill 1 contains elements that undermine democratic oversite in Nova Scottia, Bill 6 lifts the moratorium on fracking and uranium mining, and Bill 12 gives the government alarming control over universities and poses a threat to academic freedom in Nova Scotia.
This is YOUR opportunity to voice your concerns on these issues and have them heard before the committee.
