Whitby Archives The Whitby Archives is the smallest department of the Whitby Public Library.

The Whitby Archives acquires, preserves, interprets, and makes available, through a comprehensive archival collection, unpublished records of historical or cultural significance essential to the understanding of the heritage of Whitby and its people. We are located on the second floor of the Central Library right next to the Local History room.
