Thank you for making the return of Chocolate Lovers Luncheon so special. Thanks to your generosity and support, we raised $34,000 to help individuals living with dementia and their care partners access programs and services across Durham Region.

After 10 years, we were so honoured to welcome you back to this beloved fundraiser. Seeing so many people come together with their loved ones made the day truly special and served as a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together as a community.

This event would not have been possible without the many people who shared their time, energy, and support to make the day such a success. A special thank you to:

Today, we pause to reflect, remember, and honour Indigenous children, Survivors, their families, and communities impacted by residential schools. 🧡

As we support individuals and families throughout Durham Region, we recognize the strength of community and the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. We are committed to ongoing learning and meaningful reconciliation. We encourage everyone to take time to learn more about the important work Indigenous people are doing in the dementia and brain health space.

This morning, on World Alzheimer’s Day, we were proud to welcome community members, volunteers, and supporters to Durham Region Headquarters as we came together to raise awareness and support those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias across Durham Region.
 
We are incredibly grateful to our community organizations, volunteers, and supporters for their ongoing dedication, compassion, and commitment to our mission. Your support helps strengthen our community and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by dementia. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, including community members, ASDR staff, and members of Durham Regional Headquarters.
 
Together, we will continue to reduce stigma, foster understanding, and ensure that no one facing dementia feels alone. 💙
