Reachingout Family Homes Inc We are a treatment foster care agency committed to caring for children and youth. RFH opened its’ doors for business on May 4, 1989.

Reachingout Family Homes is an inter-denominational community based Special Treatment Foster Care organization. Our purpose is to provide care for Special Needs Children – children having emotional, behavioural, physical, medical and developmental handicaps. We are licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. RFH receives referrals from the various Children’s Aid Societies in Central, South Eastern and Northern Ontario.

❤️ 25 Years of Kim. 25 Years of Making a Difference. ❤️

Today, we celebrate so much more than a work anniversary. We celebrate 25 years of dedication, compassion, leadership, and heart.

Kim has poured so much of herself into the work she does and into the people around her. As one of our Directors, her leadership reaches far beyond a title. She has been a mentor, a steady presence, a source of encouragement, and someone who genuinely cares about the people and families we serve.

Twenty-five years is an incredible milestone, but what makes it truly special is the impact left behind along the way. The people supported, the lives touched, the challenges navigated, the countless moments of showing up when it mattered; all of it is part of Kim’s legacy.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you have given to Reachingout over the past 25 years. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed, and we are so fortunate to have had the privilege of working alongside you.

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Support Workers to work with foster children and youth. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families in need.

Position Details:
• Hours: 10 hours per week (flexible, based on the needs of the child/youth and their foster family)
• Location: Whitby (Durham Region, Ontario)

Qualifications:
• Relevant education in fields such as Social Service Worker (SSW), Early Childhood Education (ECE), Educational Assistant (EA), Child and Youth Worker (CYW), or related
• Experience working with children and youth
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Child welfare check and broad police check
• Valid driver’s license and at least $1 million liability insurance

What You’ll Do:
• Provide 1:1 support for foster children and youth, assisting with their daily activities and helping them reach their goals
• Collaborate with foster families to ensure the child’s emotional, social, and physical well-being
• Be a supportive, caring role model in their lives
