The first time you get a secure driver’s licence or general identification card, you need to provide:

• two documents to prove Yukon residency
• government-issued proof of identity with:
• photo and signature
• date of birth
• current legal name

There’s no need to rush. Bring your birth certificate and passport or driver's licence, a Yukon health card and utility bill. Other documents will work too, but check first.
