News release: Public Accounts Committee Releases Second Report

The Office of the Auditor General of Canada released a performance audit report on Child and Family Services in Yukon on March 4, 2026. The Auditor General made several recommendations which were all accepted and endorsed by the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

In the report, the committee makes 20 recommendations.

News Release: Northern Speakers Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Democratic Institutions.

On Nunavut Day, during the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Canadian Regional Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, the Speakers of the Legislative Assemblies of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that formalizes their commitment to collaboration in support of strong and resilient parliamentary democracy across Canada's North.

I wish to offer my most sincere condolences to those impacted by the tragic accident in Prince Edward Island.

Regardless of where we are elected, parliamentarians are part of a larger parliamentary family. When one of our colleagues experiences such a significant loss, it is felt across the country.
