Recent Grad Mavis has a bunch of shadow day mentorships lined up! Her first location was at the two locations of Love2Thrift, Whitehorse Community Thrift Store to meet all the passionate volunteers and staff who take the time REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE by going through and sorting through donations and see if they can make any fixes!

Autism Yukon has announced new funding that may be available to help with the cost of autism assessments for Yukon adults (19+) experiencing financial need. Applications are due Friday, September 4th at 4:00 PM. See Autism Yukon's post below for more information and details and on how to apply!

A few moments from Pride Picnic earlier this month! At our table, we shared about the Disability Pride Flag and celebrated the connections between disability and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. We also invited folks to add their thoughts to our “What does inclusion mean to you?” poster - which became a highlight of the day!

A little colour from our Tie-Dye Night! 🌈🎨

Last week, folks gathered at Inclusion Yukon for an evening of tie-dye, creativity, and community in celebration of Pride. We loved seeing all the colourful creations taking shape!

We’re painting a community mural in the Inclusion Yukon Office, and we need your help!

Ways to get involved:

1. We would love to hear your thoughts as we design the artwork. What would YOU like to see painted on the wall? You can share your feedback online using the link below, by stopping by the Inclusion Yukon offices to colour or write on a feedback form, or by attending our in-person brainstorming session on Tuesday, August 25th.

2. Our goal is to source as many of our mural-painting materials second hand to reduce waste. We are looking for the following materials:
- Colourful house paint (large quantities preferred, but anything helps!)
- Drop cloths
- Paintbrushes and rollers
- Paint Trays
- Empty 1L yoghurt/ice cream containers (with lid)

3. Once the artwork is designed, there will be opportunities to come to the Inclusion Yukon space and help us paint. Stay tuned!
