We’re listening!

In addition to our regular communication methods, including social media, media releases and our website, we’re also looking at ways to bring important updates directly to you through video, when possible.

In this video, Mayor Jay Kirkland provides an update on Phase 2 of the Sauble Beach Land Claim, which is the compensation phase of the trial.

We hope these video updates provide another way for residents, businesses and community members to stay informed about important issues affecting South Bruce Peninsula.

🎶 And that's a wrap folks! What a way to finish the summer!

The Wiarton Summer Concert Series went out with a bang at the Bluewater Park Bandshell as Pick up Game took the stage and brought their infectious energy for the series finale! So much in fact that the crowd demanded an encore! 🎸🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who came out throughout the summer to enjoy Thursday evenings by the water, support our local musicians, and help make the series such a success. Another big thank you to everyone who donated to Bluewater Park throughout the summer. Your generosity helps us continue making this beautiful park a place for the community to enjoy.

And of course, thank you to all of the amazing musicians who made this year's series one to remember! 👏

From the first note to the final encore, it’s been one heck of a summer of music in Wiarton. 🌅🎶

🚧Construction Notice – D Line 🚧

D Line in Sauble Beach is getting some rehabilitation. The section of D Line between #379 D Line and Burton Crescent will be pulverized starting on August 31, 2026, before a new tar and chip surface is applied later in the fall.

🚗During construction, local traffic only will be permitted from Main Street (Bruce Road 8 ) to Sixth Street North. “Local traffic only” means people who live within the closure area. Non-local traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

📲Please monitor Municipal 511 and the Town’s social media channels for updates and closure notifications.

Reset and re-energize this fall with Instructor Julie Bradley-Low, CYT for Gentle Yoga. This midday Gentle Yoga mat based class will focus on slow, repetitive movements to loosen up connective tissues, breath work and restorative poses. Perfect for releasing tension during your lunch break and leaving you refreshed and ready to return to the remainder of your day and week. Open to all and beginners are welcome!
