We had our Donuts with Dad event on Friday. The Bean Lover Cafe made some amazing donuts for us. They were delicious! I highly recommend them. Our door prize winner was Leo Durand who won a gift card to the Julky Gisnt Pub. Congrats Leo! Thank you to everyone who attended and Sue Marit for helping out. Yes I forgot to take pictures. Oops!

Father’s Day theme on Thursday. We read a couple of super cute “dad” books and make some Father’s Day cards. They turned out great! Happy Father’s Day!

We had our last workshop with Stephanie Bellefleur and Philip Brass on Sunday. We learned a lot about the Metis people, some of our native plants and their medicinal uses and made some Metis dot art. We got to try some bullet soup made by Philip and some homemade bannock and hawthorne jelly made by some friends of Stephanie. Everything was delicious!

A big thank you to Steph and Philip for putting on these workshops! They were a great learning experience and the kids had fun exploring their creativity and fish filleting skills! A big thank you to Sk Arts for providing us with the grant to put on these workshops and upcoming mural! We couldn’t have done it without their financial support. Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to the workshops! We hope you enjoyed them.

Eva had her own craft she wanted to do with the group today so they made mini coffee cup squishy clickers. They turned out pretty cute!

Cookies! We read Robert Munsch’s book Mmm, Cookies, made our own paper cookies, played play doh (no one tried to trick us into eating play doh cookies, like in the book. Phew! Haha). Lastly snack time obviously had to have cookies too.
