Friday’s No-School Crafting project was rock painting. So many creative ideas from watermelons to hotdogs 😆. Some might even stay at the library to add some color in our “flower beds”.

Last week’s Early Literacy theme was Weather. I wonder why? 😜. We ready a book about rain and its importance to us and the Earth. Then we made some rain cloud/sunshine sliders. Pull the stick down and it’s raining. Push the stick up and the sun peaks out. We were so busy creating that I didn’t get any action pictures. Only snacking and the finished products. They did a great job on them!

At tomorrow’s No-School Crafting we will be doing some rock painting. Bring your paint shirts 😁

Last week we made some sparkly butterfly planter stakes. Although they did work as just flapping butterflies too. No Story Hour is complete without lego crafting too!

New adult books and youth graphic novels at the library!

The first story trail “book” is officially up! Come down to the museum and read a story on your way there! This first one is called “Butterflies Are Pretty…Gross!” by Rosemary Mosco.

NEW LOCATION: WILLOW BUNCH MUSEUM BASEMENT.

Another exciting workshop! We will be learning about native plants and their various uses, including medical, trying our hand at the beautiful Metis Dot Art technique, and of course our workshop wouldn't be complete with out some bannock tasting. This is a free program with a focus on youth but adults are wecome as well!

Last week we read some Octopus books and made some cute octopuses out of our huge pipe cleaner & pom pom stash. They turned out super cute!
