We support many international humanitarian projects such as eradicating polio, bringing clean water to remote villages and empowering girls through education. Locally, we provide significant financial and leadership support to the John McGivney Children's Centre, the Rotary Home fo

On Monday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Kathryn, who shared an informative presentation on Advancing Evidence and Value-Based Care for People Experiencing Homelessness in Our Community.

We also welcomed two Youth Exchange students, Lilly and Ally, who shared their experiences abroad. Lilly spoke about her time in Sweden, while Ally shared her experience in Thailand. It was wonderful to hear about their experiences and learn more about their time in these communities.

Each year, the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) hosts its Community Service Grants, inviting local non-profits to share innovative projects that will make a meaningful difference in our community.

This year, United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent was selected as a grant recipient for its Backpacks for Success program! 🎒

As the proud host of Art in the Park, the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) was pleased to use proceeds from the event to help fund this important initiative.

But our support went beyond funding. Rotary members were also on hand to roll up their sleeves and help pack 500 backpacks for local children preparing to head back to school, putting our commitment to community service into action.

Last week, Rotary District 6400 gathered with community leaders, Rotarians, students, and guests at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts to dedicate a new Rotary Peace Pole in downtown Windsor.

The Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of peace and hope, displaying the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in four different languages.

The dedication brought together local and international voices around a shared commitment to peacebuilding, understanding, and positive change in our community and beyond.

As Rotarians, we believe that meaningful change begins when we come together. This Peace Pole will serve as a lasting reminder that what unites us is far more powerful than what divides us. 🌎🕊️

After a year of planning, preparation, and unwavering dedication, the Syrian refugee family that our member Andrea and her sponsorship group have been supporting has finally arrived to begin their new life in Canada!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. Your generosity, kindness, and support have played a meaningful role in giving this family a fresh start.

As they settle into their new home, there will be many opportunities to learn, grow, and adjust to life in Canada. We are still looking for a few essential items to help make their home complete and ensure they feel welcomed and supported.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for our annual Fish Fry for Ghana. Your support, generosity, and community spirit made the evening one to remember.

To our dedicated organizers and volunteers: your countless hours of planning, preparation, and hard work behind the scenes created such a seamless and welcoming experience.

What are neutrons, how are they produced, and why are they so important? Dr. Marquardt will explore how neutron scattering is used to study biological membranes, with research that has exciting applications in medicine and the potential for Windsor to become an important centre for scientific research and treatment.
