✨ Then & Now: Meet Avery! ✨

Twenty years ago, Avery was attending a field trip at the Zekelman Safety Village as a young learner. Today, she’s back at the Village — but this time, she’s the one teaching! 👮‍♀️💙

As our Crime Prevention Lead, Avery now helps educate the next generation on safety, bringing her journey full circle from learning about safety as a child to sharing that knowledge with children in our community.

Who knew one field trip could come full circle? 🥹 Here’s to making a lasting impact, one safety lesson at a time!

🧡💙💚 A proud moment for our community!

The Zekelman Safety Village extends our heartfelt congratulations to The Stephanie & Barry Zekelman Foundation on receiving the Spirit of Community Award at the 2026 Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards! 🏆

As a proud naming partner of The Zekelman Safety Village, the Foundation’s generosity and commitment to safety education continue to make a lasting impact, helping us educate and empower thousands of children across Windsor-Essex each year.

Our Executive Director, Melissa Lauzon, and Board Chair, Shawn Boutette, had the pleasure of attending this special celebration and recognizing this well-deserved honour.

A special thank you to Amber Hunter, Director of Philanthropy for the Foundation, for her continued dedication, support, and partnership.

Congratulations once again to The Stephanie & Barry Zekelman Foundation! We are incredibly proud to be part of the meaningful difference you continue to make in our community. 🧡💙💚
