⚠️ SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 – SITE CLOSURE UPDATE
Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum remains closed today, Sunday, September 6.
A State of Local Emergency has been declared in Inverness, Richmond and Victoria Counties due to severe flooding and widespread damage. Multiple roads remain closed and conditions throughout the region remain dangerous.
Emergency officials are asking everyone to stay off the roads unless travel is essential for health, safety or emergency purposes, and not to drive through floodwaters or around barricades.
In light of these conditions, we ask visitors not to attempt to travel to Highland Village at this time.
We will continue to monitor conditions and road access and will provide an update regarding reopening when it is safe to do so.
Please stay safe and continue to follow official emergency information and road closure updates.

⚠️ UPDATE - 1458 HRS SEPTEMBER 5:
Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum will remain closed Sunday, September 6.
There are currently multiple road closures in our immediate area, including several routes to and from Iona, as well as intermittent ferry service in Little Narrows due to high winds.
We will reassess site access and local road conditions tomorrow and provide a further update here regarding Monday, September 7.

Due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, local flooding, and high winds, Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum is closed effective immediately and until further notice.
For the safety of our visitors and staff, we ask that you please avoid visiting the site while these conditions continue.
We will provide an update when conditions improve and it is safe to reopen.
