School may be ending for the summer, but social, emotional, and behavioural challenges don’t take a break.

The RESET Program provides Social Skills & Emotional Regulation Coaching for neurodivergent youth ages 8–21 who may be struggling with:

✔ Making and keeping friends
✔ Managing big emotions
✔ Impulsive behaviour or decision-making
✔ Social isolation
✔ Self-confidence and resilience
✔ Conflict resolution and coping skills

Through individualized one-on-one support and small group opportunities, youth learn practical skills that help them thrive at home, at school, and in the community.

RESET is designed for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID), and other neurodivergent needs.

📱 Should youth be banned from social media?

It’s a question being debated across Canada, and local students recently shared their perspectives with CTV News.

At Youth Diversion, we see both the benefits and the risks of social media every day. While concerns around cyberbullying, online exploitation, misinformation, and mental health are real, we also know that social media is where many young people connect, learn, create, and build community.

Rather than focusing solely on restrictions, we believe the conversation must also include education, digital literacy, online safety, and ongoing support for youth and families. When young people are equipped with the right tools, guidance, and critical thinking skills, they are better prepared to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Through our presentations, youth programming, and parent education initiatives, we are committed to helping families understand both the opportunities and challenges that come with growing up online.

A moment of poor judgment can quickly turn into criminal charges, restitution, damaged reputations, and long-term consequences — especially when group behaviour and peer pressure are involved.

At Youth Diversion, we believe accountability matters. But we also believe in helping young people understand the impact of their actions, repair harm where possible, and make better choices moving forward.

Prevention, intervention, education, and support matter.
