Public skating begins today at the West Hants Sports Complex! **We are very limited on our skate rentals this week, as most of our skates are out getting sharpened. Our apologies.

Please note that the Sports Complex will be closed on Labour Day, Sept 7, until 6pm.

Looking for ways to help your child build confidence, make life long friends, and learn essential life skills? Scouting offers outdoor adventures, creative activities, and hands on learning for all ages.

We are currently welcoming new members into three age groups:
* Beavers ( Ages 5 - 7 ): Fun, crafts, and outdoor discovery.
*Cubs ( Ages 8 - 11 ): Camping, teamwork, and earning badges while developing independence.
*Scouts ( Ages 11 - 14 ): Leadership, survival skills, and high-adventure trips.

It’s feeling a little more fall-like every day! Plan your activities this fall with our Fall Rec Guide. All programs that require registration open on September 16 at 6 PM.

We also have print copies coming out through schools this week, and available for pick up in our facilities.

The amazing volunteers at Avon Sport and Social Community Group is planning their Fall adult programs! Make sure to follow their page so that you can plan your fall activities!

Summer may be winding down, but we're already looking ahead to Fall!

For those who are new to Avon Sport & Social Community, we're all about creating opportunities for adults in West Hants to get active, meet new people, and have fun through recreational sport and social activities.

We're currently finalizing plans for our fall programming and expect to share more information later this month.
