You may have seen these posters up around Winnipeg and wondered whatโ€™s up. The Winnipeg Arts Council commissioned local artists to create posters encouraging participation in the upcoming municipal election. We want people to exercise their right to vote, and what better way to do that than by getting artists involved to spread a simple message: get out and vote. We asked local artist, writer and curator hannah_g to help with the project.

"The project is not about who to vote for, itโ€™s about the importance of exercising your right to vote, period. So many of Winnipegโ€™s artists really love this city, I couldโ€™ve chosen hundreds for this project!" - hannah_g

Posters were created by artists Chukwudubem Ukaigwe, hannah_g, Hanna Reimer, Jonathan S. Green, Charles Venzon, and Matea Radic. Scroll through the photos to see each artist's design, and click here to learn more about them: https://winnipegarts.ca/vote-2026-posters

Look for the posters throughout Winnipeg between now and the election on October 28. If you want to find out more about who is running or how to vote, click here: https://winnipegarts.ca/elections
