Harvest currently feeds over 108,000 Manitobans every month, 49% children, through its community food network of more than 380 food banks and partners agencies across Manitoba including soup kitchens, schools and daycares.

Employee Trio of the Summer! ☀️

A huge thank you to Morgan, Danielle, and Charisse for helping us reach a new record of 35,000 Meals2Go kits served through our summer pop-up stations!

This trio was a well-oiled machine, and we couldn’t have done it without them and our incredible volunteers. We’re so grateful for the energy, dedication, and care they brought to every kit and every family.

We’re lucky to call you all part of the Harvest Manitoba community!

Our garden is growing more than just vegetables! 🌱

We’re excited to share that our garden is now certified with Bee Better Manitoba, thanks to our established native perennial flower garden. The native flowers were generously donated by the Living Prairie Museum and Prairie Flora over the past few years.

By creating space for native plants and pollinators, we’re helping our community garden, and the bees, thrive! 🐝💛

We’re so happy to welcome Fort Garry Collective to Harvest Manitoba’s Community Food Network!

Located in the Fort Garry area on Pembina, Fort Garry Collective held their first food bank day on August 7, serving 10 neighbours in their community.

Every new food bank means more Manitobans can access food and support closer to home. We’re incredibly grateful to Fort Garry Collective for opening their doors and helping make sure no one in their community has to face food insecurity alone. 🤝

We were pleased to recently welcome Winnipeg North MP Kevin Lamoureux to Harvest Manitoba! 🌾

It was a great opportunity to show him around our facility, share more about the work happening at Harvest every day, and discuss the growing need for food support in communities across Manitoba.

Today, we join people around the world in mourning the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton. ❤️

Born into poverty in rural Tennessee, Dolly never forgot where she came from. She went on to achieve extraordinary success, and she used it to give back by supporting people and communities in need throughout her life. We feel incredibly fortunate that Harvest Manitoba was once among them.

Last year, Dolly created a beautiful, one-of-a-kind bowl for Harvest Manitoba to auction at our Empty Bowls dinner in support of Manitobans facing hunger. She even decorated it with jewels from one of her own costumes (pictured), making an already generous gift that much more personal and special.

Dolly knew what it meant to grow up without much and understood the importance of helping others when you have the ability to do so. We will always remember her generosity in helping Manitobans with immense gratitude.

Our hearts are with her loved ones and the millions of people mourning a woman who gave the world so much. 🕊️
