We want to share a BIG thank you to The White Top Drive In for their donation of water to our front line at 509 Selkirk Ave! As we know, it is that time of year where cold water is always in high demand. A big thank you from the NECRC team and the community that it will help stay hydrated!

Thank you White Top for your continued support to the North End community, and always for the scrumptious food! 🍟🍔🍦

JOIN SCO IN CALLING FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE SECOND-GENERATION CUT-OFF RULE

The Southern Chiefs' Organization (SCO) wants to help you understand the second-generation cut-off rule and how it may affect you and your family.

We have created a webpage that explains this rule, its impacts, and how you can take action.

The second-generation cut-off rule in the "Indian Act" keeps many First Nations citizens from passing status on to their children and grandchildren.

This has disconnected many families from their status and their Nations.

SCO is calling on the federal government to remove this legislated discrimination and replace it with a one-parent rule, so status can be passed on when at least one parent is entitled to it.

You can help call for an end to the second-generation cut-off.

SCO encourages our citizens—and everyone affected by this rule—to contact their Member of Parliament and call for this discriminatory policy to be removed.
