It's a tad ironic that Dr Brent Roussin cites that the lack of affordable, stable housing may contribute to the frightening rise in HIV rates in our Province

House of Hesed has been a loving home for men and women living with HIV/AIDS in Manitoba for the past 28 years.
To my knowledge, we are still the only service offering a HOME. Yet we are struggling financially more than ever.
No increase in the "Room and Board with Care" rate for over 8 years.
Definitely not keeping up with the rise in inflation

Maintaining this ministry and keeping it fully operational matters a great deal to the 10 men and women who call House of Hesed, "their HOME"

Thanks be to God and everyone who supports this ministry in our efforts to keep us from closing our doors permanently.

HELP!!! We desperately need someone to help out in our yard. Basically clean and w**d the flower bed, keep the grape vines and lilac tree pruned. Not a huge time commitment, perhaps a couple of hours per week at most.
However, if you really enjoy gardening you can spend as much time as you like helping us keep our yard looking gorgeous!

Manitoba has declared a public health emergency as HIV cases across the province continue to rise sharply.

New cases have climbed from 90 in 2019 to 328 in 2025, giving Manitoba some of the highest HIV rates in Canada.

The province is now launching an HIV Response Steering Committee focused on prevention, testing and access to care.
