On Wednesday, October 7, The Conversation Canada published an article by University of Manitoba Associate Professors Shannon D. M. Moore and Jennifer Watt, stressing the importance of comprehensive s*xuality education and the need for it to be mandatory in Manitoba public schools.

The article notes that while the new updates to the health curriculum in public schools are positive, allowing parents to opt their children out of this essential education could deny children their rights and have long-term consequences for public health in Manitoba.
