👟 Torch Runner spotlight: Jordan Barbeau 👟

Jordan Barbeau is a dedicated Constable with the Brandon Police Service, bringing 17 years of service to his community. 🙌 Since 2014, he has been actively involved in the Polar Plunge, playing a key role in organizing and hosting the Brandon event, which has raised over $42,000 for Special Olympics Manitoba in the past two years. 🎉 A proud First Nations man, Jordan is also a devoted husband and father who values family, community, and giving back. ❤️

🏃‍♂️ From August 7 to 11, the Law Enforcement Torch Run® Final Leg will be making its way through communities across Alberta, ending at the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat! 🔥

🗺️ The Final Leg will be making stops in: Tsuu T’ina Nation, Banff, Lake Louise, Calgary, Red Deer, St. Albert, Edmonton, Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, Coaldale, Drumheller, Ralston/Suffield, Redcliff, and Medicine Hat!

The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run® National Final Leg Running Team for the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games consists of an incredible Medicine Hat Special Olympics Athlete, and LETR members representing 10 provinces and territories from across Canada! 🍁

Known as the Guardians of the Flame, these dedicated members have been selected to proudly represent not only their law enforcement agencies, but also their provincial or territorial LETR program and Special Olympics affiliates/chapters.👏

Beyond carrying the Flame of Hope, these individuals are leaders in their communities—raising funds, planning and coordinating LETR and Special Olympics events, coaching athletes, launching adaptive sport programs, and creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to thrive on and off the field.🔥

Together, they are creating lasting change by championing inclusion, empowering athletes, and strengthening communities across Canada.❤️
