Lake Friendly Lake Friendly aims to protect all freshwater resources in the province of Manitoba.

Created by the leaders of the communities on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, the Lake Friendly Initiative engages the public in clear actions to help restore our freshwaters. As a response to the deteriorating water quality in the Lake Winnipeg watershed, the South Basin Mayors and Reeves - leaders from the shores of Lake Winnipeg - established Lake Friendly.
