The Beachville District Historical Society is having their Annual Summer Beef BBQ Fundraiser on Friday, August 14 from 5 to 7 p.m.! Rain-or-Shine!
Come join us for a locally sourced meal of roast beef, baked potatoes, field-fresh corn and more while exploring the museum and grounds with your friends and family. Enjoy live entertainment, and play some lawn games.
All proceeds will be directed towards updating the museum community road sign.

We had so much fun at Oxford Pride Family Day this weekend.
It was great to see everyone who turned out and participated in our Pride Day community quilt.
The community quilt will be displayed here at the museum from June 16th to the 20th.
Come see all the love and hard work you and the community put into this incredible project.

It’s Pride Month! 🌈

We are so excited to be participating in Oxford County Pride Pride Family Day this year.
Join us on Saturday June 13th in Woodstock’s Museum Square to celebrate our friends and family in the community.

In honour of , we're highlighting volunteer contributions for the rest of the year 👏

Teresa has a wealth of knowledge about the village's history. As a life-long member of the Beachville community, she makes an excellent tour guide and resource. Her ability to weave personal stories and anecdotes into her tours provide our visitors with interesting insight into our local histories!

We can always count on Teresa to lend a hand wherever needed — from leading demonstrations on quilting and butter churning for school groups to assisting with artifact inventories, she never shies away from any project that comes her way.

Thanks Teresa, for sharing your stories and keeping Beachville's histories alive!

⚾ Today we’re celebrating the 188th anniversary of the first recorded baseball game in North America! ⚾

On June 4th, 1838, the first recorded baseball game in North America took place in Beachville, Ontario. It’s been 188 years since that day and we are proud to be able to share such an important part of our local history with baseball fans and history buffs alike!

Did you know that Dr. Adam Ford, who grew up in Beachville, witnessed the game between the Zorra and Beachville teams in his youth? He later recalled the event in a letter to Sporting Life magazine detailing the names of the players, the layout of the field, rules of gameplay, and even the materials used to make the lemon-peel style baseball (which haven’t changed much over the last 188 years).
