Employment opportunity for a Community Support Worker in Woodstock and surrounding areas. Requirements:
* Human Service, Early Childhood, Youth care worker or any equivalent certificate
* First Aid/CPR; training will be paid if renewal is needed
* Criminal Record Check
* Social Development check
* Have own vehicle/valid driver's licence
* Evening and weekend assignments to be expected
* Ability to prepare written reports, which may be used to prepare court affidavits
* Experience working with autism, mental health or physical disabilities, addictions and/or child welfare an asset
* Applicants will be required to provide proof of double vaccination due to the vulnerability of our client group
* ASIST and Changing Minds training an asset

Job Description:
Those accepting the position can expect a supportive work culture. Our current working group of 25 women and men's assignments include children's services and supports for disabled adults living in their own homes. Services are delivered between Nackawic to Bath, and all rural areas in between, with associated services beyond this area. It is beneficial to be able to work under pressure and assignments can be physically demanding. This is an excellent job for those with effective interpersonal skills and flexibility. Assignments can include:
* developing and implementing behaviour management programs
* assessing strengths and areas needing support
* coordinating and implementing services within the community to meet client interests and needs.
* Liaising with other social services, health care providers, and extended family
Experience in dietary needs and food preparation, household management, and problem solving
