Campfire Casualties.
Please remember to check for nests before lighting the brush in your fire pit.
By piling scrub brush, sticks and leaves into your campfire pit, you create a perfect home for many animals to build their nest in. Don't set it on fire before checking!
This is the second litter of cottontail rabbits brought to us with burns on their backs and bellies. Thankfully, with intensive care, most of them are surviving.
Always look before you light.

Thank you Petrolia!

Thank you to Petrolia citizens , many , who reached out today and directed BCRR to the badly oiled Canada Goose that had been wandering in their neighbourhood for days .

Her condition is guarded, dehydration and starvation as well as a very toxic crude oil on her entire body makes this a difficult case. When she is more stable with fluids, antibiotics and a liquid nutrician the washing can begin in a day or 2.

This is our second case of a oiled goose from Petrolia in a month. It was released 10 days later .

We had a team of 3 Goosebusters and a neighbour , Josh Leblanc helping to catch the Canada Goose today!
